Another lathe.......

I have been looking around for some tooling and other stuff since purchasing a lathe from Bill here on this board.
Well I fell into a deal that is still up in the air. I have to take it all in a bundle deal. This is NOT a for sale deal at this time, as I have not come to any type of agreement with the seller as he doesn't have all the machinist equipment together yet.
I just thought I would mention it here as there was some interest in small to medium sized lathes.
It is a craftsman lathe model 101.28990. That is about all I can tell you at the moment. 3 and 4 jaw chucks, lantern tool post, and a steady rest is all I have seen this far. Tail stock has a dead center.
No broken gears or any sign of a crash. Lathe its self is not rusty, a lot of old gummy oil and lube on it.

If the seller and I can come to terms this weekend I will be able to have pics and more info etc.
PLEASE do not PM me on this subject. Post on this thread and I will let those interested know by Sunday, then list it in the classifieds.
If I don't purchase the whole lot with the lathe I would be more than happy to pass on the info to whom ever may be interested in it.
I am perfectly happy with the Sheldon lathe. But I will be darned if I have not run across one of these little 9" lathes every week for the past month! I looked for one around here local for over a year with very little luck.

If this is out of line, zap it and scold me.

Two questions: Where is it located approximately and does it have the quick-change gearbox?

Kansas City And yes a Quick change box.
Look up the serial# and it will show a fair bit.

The more time spent working around/on/with equipment.....the more it starts coming out of the woodwork.

Just keep passing it on to your buds, which then seems to produce even more......BW

It would have been a good deal, if the seller had stuck to the agreement we made. He neglected to contact me in any of the four ways that gave him and sold it out from under me. Ended up with a LOT of extra attachment and tooling for $1200.
So, me being a bit ticked I proceeded to inform him how he sold the attachments and gave the lathe away. Along with the two wooden cigar boxes full of indicators, Starrett.
