Any 7mm or 6.8mm barrel liners?

Been looking with bated lust at a 285448, and a 280468 . Both are about 115gr / 120gr. Quite accurate. I'd like to do a straight wall case in an original low-wall.

BUT... there isn't a barrel liner available in either caliber. Or is there? The .270 REN is out there. Blown-out 22 Hornet. There is nothing I can put my hands on for a 7mm straight-wall, excepting the >spendy< .28-30 Stevens. Though I do have a nice 257420, what straight-wall .257 cases >that can be easily formed< exist?

:sigh:

7mm in a 327 case would look a little like a 38-40 I'd think . I'm certain it's been done in a 357 case but not a tapered/straight case . 25-20 up or 32-20 down ....

There's probably something done on a 30 carb .

Neck up a 5.7 ?

I looked at the 327, possumble, but reamers..

But there is the full length tapered .25 Hornet, based on the .22 Hornet... The .270 REN would be nice, a straight-walled case, but I'm not tripping over .270/6.8mm liners...

Looking at it, only a .026 taper over 1.315 inches. Looks like it's quite possumble to go in with a .22 Hornet rougher, then follow it with a .25 Hornet finisher. Though the neck diameters are different, the .25 version is .273, the .22 version is around .240-ish?

Look at that long, lovely neck! .400 long! After my frustration with a 280468 (S) in a 6.8SPC, there is no worries with the gascheck being below the shoulder.

EDIT: for the Lyman 257420 [60gr] and / or 257464 [89gr], what twist should I go to?
.25-20 cartridge, .250" bore, .257" groove, 1-14" twist, 6 grooves
.25-35 Winchester, .250" bore, .257" groove, 1-10" twist, 6 grooves

Folks, I went through all my Handloaders, and I can't remember this cover. :(
