you could go look at the Larry and Joe show on their website, I hear it's back up and running again.

I'm a member, at least for now. I really like the magazine, but outside of that find little of value to my interests. The web forum is less atrocious than it was immediately after they updated it, but member participation is weak. I visit it occasionally, but rarely post anymore myself. They really are trying to reach out to potential new members, and have a lot to offer if you're into benchrest type competition.

Never joined. I read a few articles at Khornet place. Not interested in competing and if I did it wouldn't be BR type shooting.
My interest has never been great enough to join.

Yep, 20 year member and counting. I like completing with military rifles, benchrest. At my age, I can no longer shoot prone or offhand. Walking off a smooth path is down to about a mile and a 25 pound pack is a burden. Web-site is a mess, too complicated to use and allow arguments to go on too long. New webmaster is trying to fix things. HOWEVER, you get to meet, electronically, really great people who like experimentations and odd old guns.

It is true that there are few powder coaters because no one has been able to show that they are as accurate than not coated. Of course, we have never had anyone show up at a match and shoot against non-PC'd bullets. But we do have a couple that are working on repeatable 2 MOA groups at 2400 f/s. with PC'd bullets.

Nope not for everyone, as it is not a backslapping, how you doing neighbor type of group. Pretty much just shooting for accuracy and precision.

Thanks. I think I will pass and stick with this forum. I have gleaned so much info from the experienced CB shooters here.

That is the point for the mostly 4,000 paying members, the information that is "peer review" rather than just created on the keyboard. There may be 250 active competitive shooters, but lots of hunters and plinkers looking for new and exciting information.

Not a member. Used to check the forum frequently, may have even posted a few times, I don't remember. There's a difference between "peer review" and someone's personal pulpit, which in the last couple of years seems to be what a select couple of non-peer-reviewed eggspurts have tried to make the forum part of the organization. Brad created this forum to get away from that sort of thing. Most of the people here are smart enough and experienced enough to call bs when they see it, and do. As a result, bs tends to fade away on its own from these pages.

We're happy to have you, Ric, you bring a heck of a lot to the table and for a younger person like me, it's wonderful to soak up some good information from someone who was immersed in this long before I was born.

I'm a 20+ yr. member as well even though I rarely compete in CBA events. I look forward to getting and reading "The Fouling Shot" every other month and find it interesting reading.

There is always something really interesting in "The Fouling Shot". If I renew my membership this year, it will be for the magazine.

Now that the CBA sells CD's of about 30+ years of back magazines, it makes it easy to research stuff.

I joined it a couple years ago just to read what Ed Harris had to say. I find his stuff interesting enough to cough up the dues. CBA goes way back.

I noticed that too. Along with the updates to Tom Dugas' site as well. Since Tom runs both sites, I'm guessing he must have been in the country for a short spell.
