Anyone tried the 250 Savage in a 1903 Receiver

Greetings
As the title asks.. Have you tried the 250 Savage in a 1903 action ? I recon the 308 would be about the same... Any feed issues ?
Have a 03 action that will need a barrel screwed on. Receiver has was already tapped for scope so not a collector. Already have enough 06 bolt rifles... Was thinking of something that would be a better coyote and ground hog slayer. Medium game type that would be a good cast shooter.

Now in my experience, a cartridge that short will probably need a small ring mauser follower and a magazine block.

My 1930's made 22 Varminter made on a NM action worked just fine, as long as you didn't try to push the bolt forward REALLY slow. Then the case would pop up early and you had to "snap" the extractor over the rim. FWIW, Ric
