Bens Blue

Ben,
Did you ever pursue the Ben's Blue lube to see what it any advantage it had over Ben's red?
I use Ben's red exclusively and have wondered if it was any better in hot weather>

Jim,

I made one " batch " of it, shot it up.
Couldn't really tell that I had gained a thing by making it.

Have never had any interest in making anymore.
Ben's Red does it all for me.
A fine bullet lube.

Sept. 10, 2021 Steve left us. You are missed.
Well I think you would have a hard time turning Ben's Red "Blue" :)

I'm not so sure, I made a batch, and the cheapskate I am I threw in a small portion of some other lube I made and it turned OD Green. Of course it screwed up Ben's recipe, but still seems to work well.

Blue is a great color, but mixed with red it's purple. Which is my favorite color. I guess I'll just use food coloring.:)

What about pink lube? I only ask because I thought I might be able to talk my wife in to making lube & lubesizing if it were pink.

Or maybe glow in the dark lube? I bet Ian has a bucket full of that laying around.

Use the Ester AC oil with UV dye in it to make TNT lube and it damn near glows. Very nice fluorescent color to it.

My wife tolerates the lube makng but I don't care what color it is, she isn't makng any. Now if Ian developed a Star Wars lube, then she might get interested.

Yeah its wishful thinking. If we had glowing neon pink, I bet she'd get involved then. She loves shooting, casting, scrap brass & lead collecting the rest is up to me. She did help check some too.

Is it to much to ask for ladies to be brought up with a real enjoyment of brass prep, checking, & lubesizing?

This sounds like it will take some collaboration.
