Bob's Quick Buck Saw

Picked up a 21" version and the sheath.

Slick design, well made. It is not sexy like the Boreal 21, but it isn't as spendy, either. NOTE: While looking for the various options for folding bow saws, I noticed some $28 copies of the Boreal from some Chinese based firms...

Damn SHARP! Wear gloves if you can, but be thoughtful... Cuts like all get-out through dead wood. Small whippy shrubs get caught in the teeth gullets, but yeah, that isn't nuclear rocket science. I did 3-6 inch branches without a problem. Didn't need to try bigger when I was clearing some blowdown.

You might see comments on the handle being uncomfortable, but it didn't seem that way to me. The sheath seems like a bag 'o hammers... It is a long rectangular pocket with a flap over the opening with a cord tie. If they had a belt loop or a loop for a D-ring, that would be neat-o.

If you need a folding bow saw, you could spend about half again as much, but get about the same performance. American made. Unsexy copper rivets hold the three aluminum channel pieces together tightly, but once you pivot the wood handle up into the frame, this saw is RIGID.

"You can put the saw together with one hand (important feature for wilderness campers) " this I'm not sure of, but its easy.
