One thing that is a BIG variable in this is the age of the alox and viscosity of the alox. All of us are aware that alox that has sat in a Lee Bottle for years can become so thick that it won't begin to flow out of its original container. If your alox is fresh from Lee or some other source and flows well my mix ratio of 60 Alox - 40 One Step is fairly close.
If your alox is old and doesn't even want to flow out of the container ( like some of mine ), the 60 - 40 ratio won't even come close to working well. You may have to go 25% alox, 75 % One Step.
I have made so much BLL and used so much of it, that I can shake the contents of a bottle of BLL and pour a small amount out on a fifty 38 wadcutters and tell you within a few seconds if the mix is too thick or not.
It needs to flow like Coke from a bottle.
If it doesn't flow like that , add more One Step until it does.
