BulletMatch, a Catalog of Cast Bullets

Reloading and cast bullets are my passions, but when I started to learn programming I had an idea, I decided to combine the two and the result is https://bulletmatch.com with my friend and I putting a combined 300+ hours into it so far. A while back some of yall might remember me asking for bullet samples. I appreciate all those who sent samples and I still have thousands of bullets to add.

With my site, you can see high resolution pictures and measurements of bullets. You can find bullets from all the brands of mould makers AND commercial casting outfits all in one place. That way you don’t have to go to many different places to get info, if that info is even available. As I add bullets, I'm also working on some historical articles for many of the companies that produced moulds.

We created a lead alloy calculator https://bulletmatch.com/pages/lead-alloy-calculator to help the casting community figure all that scrap lead that’s been setting around.

There are pages for removing leading, and gun cleaning, as well as a reloading and casting tutorial we’re working on. We're working on it daily, adding bullets, taking pics, writing, and researching.

The casting and reloading community was a major factor in undertaking this project. Preserving the rich history of the many companies of the past and present, as well as providing something every reloading and caster can use and relate to is my mission.

Thanks to everyone who has offered samples, advice, and support. There are a few here that I told about it, thanks for keeping the word mum. If anyone has suggestions, or would like to offer samples of bullets please feel free to message or post.

Thanks for reading and checking out BulletMatch.

Well I bookmarked your site as well.
I’ll look through my molds and send a short list to see if there’s anything you might be interested in.

You have some wrong info on one bullet you list. The 311-180 bullet is designed for the K31 Swiss 7.5x55. You have it listed for 3006. It might work in it but the bullet is designed for the very short and tight throat of the Swiss round

Thank you for letting me know. I didn't know that. I'll do some research on it. I don't suppose you know of a thread specifically about it?

Thanks Tomme! I knew that he had changed his numbering scheme a while back, but I haven't been able to find all the corresponding changes for the bullets I have. I'm adding them into the site the way they were labeled when I got them, and those were from samples that were "pre change".

Yessir, I plan to do just that with samples that have no info. I have a good stack of boxes and padded mailers with samples that I'm still working through.

Site looks great. Bookmarked and subscribed as well. I also have some mold calibers (and maybe molds/bullets) you might not have, that are old/rare). Need to see what I have and can share.

One of these days you will get around to working with more common/known bullets/molds.
Good way to get free lead...... shipping included...... I'll never tell.

Thanks. I appreciate any samples. If I can get info from the mould blocks and or box info, then I'm cataloging the variations between bullets with the same number when I can.

LOL you bet. Actually, I'm saving the samples and making an index of them as I am wanting to take a big group photo of all the same caliber bullets together.

NOE NAME Mappings

I think this link is what you are looking for. It shows the old mould names and what he changed them to.
