Cleaning my Ruger #3

I did both with mine, upside down, with the top of the receiver in one yoke and the muzzle end of the barrel in the other put a great enough angle on it that it was even easy to see/access the breech for inserting the patch/rod. The two yokes on my cradle were just far enough apart for the 22" barrel.

Break opens,... either have to take the barrel off, which I don't do if I don't have to, or lay it on its side on a bench and stuff the end of a cotton swab between the extractor and the breech.
