Didn't know where to post, figured it as much lube as anything else?Cold bore,no pre treat,no foulers,no zero check.
Had work in shop, cause of rain and wind. One thing that needed "doing" was get another rifle out to mess with for awhile. The 22-250's 14 twist gets a little unstable in cold air.
So,grabbed the X7 .308....1-4 Loopy scope,the one with the thick reticle.Found some ammo,mixed range brass.No prep load schedule,size'm and stuff'm.26 g of 4895,311141.
Too nasty and too lazy to post target at 100 yds,and that thick arse reticle is about 1 1/2" wide @100...so,put up target @50.
Like said above, grab rifle stuff 3 rnds in,hold on Buds bags and rip 3 shots off.Go back to work.1/2 hr later, repeat,at the target dot below the first. Both groups were so small, that you can't really call it a cloverleaf. Both were single holes dead nuts in the center of target dot.
So file it as dumb luck,or file it as a data point?50/50 Virginia beeswax/vaseline.
