TFB: Colt revolvers are popular in the U.S., but the newer “remake” models have not lived up to their original designs. Will CZ continue producing Colt revolvers?

What else did you expect him to say? People hate the new Colt revolvers, I have no idea why we purchased that company ?
TFB: Colt is one of the most American firearm brands in history. How does CZ plan on preserving Colt’s legacy while bringing manufacturing and design into the 21st century?

I don't wish to disparage the guy, I would have provided similarly vague and non-committal answers as well.
You want to reassure customers that Colt will still be there but you don't want to give a definitive answer either.
The only absolute take-way from that is a rock solid - "WE'LL SEE" !

The new owner interview always goes woohoo we're new owners ! We're only changing what absolutely needs to change to meet our SOP which really isn't all that different from what we do .
In 2-3 or 6 months they are looking at this wreck of missing records and have sorted out actual income/out go costs and have a glimpse of what new numbers are going to be and have or are cutting the tree back . Possibly making decisions about line cuts and eventually alterations to production , tooling , efficiency , and preservation as needed of core production legacy lines .
