Dog vest? Anti-sticky

Folks, I took my Brittanies out this morning, my 8mo Brittany pushed a Woodcock twice and I missed it once... He looked like he had a green jacket on, so many stickies.

Any suggestion for a pliable fabric vest? I spent probably 20 minutes on Ben before he started to snap at my hand... He is not happy about it.

We took about two balls of stickies, each about the size of a hard ball, off my 12yr Belle.

I had a neoprene vest for one of my water dogs . Different mission though 30-40° water teens and 20s air .

I don't any of the names off hand but there are about as many styles ranging from slick offs to light armor. Upland Dog is causing a tickle . Sounds more like you're for more of a slicker than chest guards .

Just a snug TShirt might do it. I use a neopreen suit on my Labs Duck hunting late season. Seeing ICE form (salt water) impelled me. They NEVER complained but it always bothered me!

CW's idea is a good one. Our dog was black and the sun would cook him. When we would spend long periods outdoors, on the boat, etc. I would put a white t-shirt on him to reflect the heat. He was small, so I took it in to fit him snug and stay in place.

To expand on CW's idea, how about two t-shirts? One put on with his head thru the neck and legs thru the arms and the second put on with just his legs thru the arms and his tail out the neck. Then with safety pins, attach the two and this will give him full coverage for everything but his legs. I would think that the stickies on his belly fur was probably the most annoying for him to have you pull off. You could buy some bright yellow or orange t-shirts and make it safer for him as well. If stickies on his legs are an issue, which I suspect that they are, use long sleeve t-shirts.

Try this one: https://www.cugavest.com/shop

When you comb out the inevitable burrs not caught by the vest, it helps if you wipe a bit of vaseline on the comb--doesn't catch as much in the hair. Water-soluable lube might work, never tried it. I had Chessies, so a little oil or grease went unnoticed.

Edit: Oh hey, whaddayaknow--Amazon carries them too. Probably faster.

the Golden we had learned to pull the burrs out herself.
once she got done then i'd pull the ones she couldn't get to.
