Finding time to cast

I found some time today where I could have casted up some 30 caliber I've been needing. Hard to find this with a full time job, two teenage boys going two different directions, and a house to keep.
But today I had some time.... to bad it was -5 in the garage! Lol!

Sometimes life gets in the way. I applaud you for taking care of what is important first.

Patience! the kids will grow up and you will miss them. You can cast and shoot latter, sadly, mostly by yourself. Enjoy your kids while you can, life is short!

Except for the "-5 in the garage!" This is my life. Need to cast some 311299 for the Garand and two teenage boys who have pretty different needs. Oh, and house to fix up for sale.

now you know why I have a wood stove in the garage.
light a fire, plug in the pot, go in the house for 20 minutes, and it's time to go back out to re-stoke the fire and get the mold filled.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
I don't know about anyone else, but by the time I get to where I have some "extra time" I'm already exhausted from getting to that point!

You're going to want me to send you some now! Got up early this morning and got to it. Christmas is all but over; had today off work, mama was sleeping and the boys were doing there own thing. 40 and sunny today, fired up the pot and hand poured 100 or so Noe 311299's. I believe these to be the best example of bullets I have ever produced from wheel weight alloy.

It was a good session.IMG_1136.JPG

Been there and done that. As others have said...the time with the boys will end...ENJOY it while you can.

Very good looking bullets. Sharp edges, smooth flat surfaces. just a hint of high lead pressure. Like said earlier. What more could you want!
