Winelover
North Central Arkansas
Desirable, in fact, for my most recent deer hunting acquisition.
The projectile: (Bolt)
The delivery system:
Easton, now offers carbon core aluminum sheathed bolts for crossbows. Apparently, the widely used 100% carbon ones can shatter and send shards of carbon into the edible meat of game animals, prompting health concerns. To alleviate this issue, Easton, devised a Full Metal Jacket crossbow bolt. Sort of a Hybrid and what I choose to use for pursuing Arkansas whitetails.
The X-bow is a Mission "Sniper Lite" manufactured by Mathews Archery and available only through franchised Archery Pro Shops.....no big box stores.

I didn't opt for any of their "packages" with over priced Chinese's scopes. I chose to mount a spare Trijicon Reflex red dot on it. The stock is adjustable to the shooter, safety is ambidextrous (I'm a southpaw) and a sweet trigger, without creep. Pretty quite for a X-bow, probably due to the "round" wheels, rather than "hard" cams.
The plan is to make good use of it during the upcoming, five month long, Arkansas Archery Season. Been thinking of getting a X-bow for the last couple of seasons......arthritis has been rearing it's ugly head and causing me to struggle drawing my compound bow, during the cold damp mornings.
My Medicare, eligible, present to myself!
