Fun with the family

S Mac

Sept. 10, 2021 Steve left us. You are missed.
Good job. Pretty country but I think I like the Ozarks better.

Yeah. If you are a big fan of water, this might not be the place for you.

I would love your part of the country but unfortunately so do millions of loonies. And I am not including your wife or brother amongst the loonies.

For many years I planned on retiring in Oregon but sadly far too many Californians have moved there for my liking. My daughter lives there, her and hubby just bought a nice 5 acre place south of Eugene.

funny how much water we have here, and how little at the same time.
sagebrush flats that run for miles and miles, giving way to high flat desert on one side, and 9-10,000' mountains on the other.

how old do you think some of those cedar trees are?

I have a pair in the front yard that are about 18"s across.
I just cut the top @3' off them, but they are still 30+' tall.
I figure they watched half a million people pass through here on their way to Oregon in the 1800's, and was probably struggling to make it as youngsters when lewis and clark come through the top of the state.

Some of those juniper trees must me hundreds if not thousands of years old. I love the history out there.

I'm pretty sure that I must have drowned in a previous life, not a big fan of water, humidity, or being wet. Looks like my kind if place there.

It almost looked like the first guy was guna slide face first into the last shooting station. is there a blooper reel not being shared;)

My boat would definitely be unhappy there. I can see the dust up, just from moving around a little.

Very much enjoyed the video waco.
My folks bought property near Bend back in the '60s, but when the property tax skyrocketed in just a few years, they realized that OR was likely headed toward the same political model as CA and sold their little piece of OR.

They had 2+ acres on the Little Deschutes River about 20 miles South of Bend. I was a kid then and remember catching crawdads along the river bank and remember that you wanted to be indoors from late afternoon till dark because the mosquitos were so thick you almost couldn't help but breath them in with the air.

Once again highlighting the fact that with a double action-single action handgun,
the first shot is just a loud way to get the gun ready to go.

I have a CZ75, and a couple of Sig P6/225s. Spent some time working on this first
shot deal. I like SA autos for this reason.

Seen it a lot, done it some. :embarrassed:

Looks like fun. That last guy was a terror with the carbine! Pretty darned good shooting by
all.

Bill. Couldn’t agree more. That was my boys CZ 9mm
I wanted to use the 1911 we had at camp and got voted down.
This was my first time shooting this pistol.
The guy at the end was my younger brother.
He did well all weekend with the little Ruger carbine.

Walter shoots well with a lever action. From a chair.....

I wish we had a place to shoot like that. Just looks like good, clean fun.
