The Spring Tulsa Gun Show has been cancelled.

SHOW CANCELLED

It is with great regret we are announcing the cancellation of Wanenmacher's Tulsa Arms Show April 4 & 5. In light of current events, we do not want to put our exhibitors, spectators or employees at risk. For over 65 years we have held two shows a year without exception until now. For the safety of everyone involved, this is the right thing to do.

Additionally, we are very concerned that the Governor of Oklahoma will follow the example of other states and limit the number of people allowed to gather in one space. Should this happen, we want to give everyone as much time as possible to change their travel plans.

If you reserved tables for the April show, money and tables will transfer to the November 14 & 15 show. If you were on non-renewable tables, alternate tables will be assigned or a refund given.

If you purchased Advance VIP tickets, those may be returned to the store where you purchased the ticket or it can be used for entry to the November 14 & 15 show.

We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused, and look forward to seeing everyone in November.

If one good thing comes out of this it will be my wife no longer rolling her eyes at me when I get on her case for letting us get down to one or two rolls of paper towels and any number of other things. I went on a shopping spree a few weeks ago (started out with me making my usual about monthly cat litter run because the stuff is heavy and difficult for her to wrangle during her grocery runs) and got extra extras of a lot of things I was on my last nerve running out of like toothpaste, pickles, trash bags, dry cereal, canned corn, vitamin C, fish oil, olive oil, assorted band-aids, light bulbs, and about $500 worth of other stuff for the house, work, and garage.

As I posted in the thread on the CoronaDrama Precautions, we have a good stock of food for ourselves and our dogs. Same with other items.

Fortunately, herself and I are on the same page as far as keeping a supply on hand.

Our business has come to almost a standstill. Hopefully, it will pick up soon.

Not so much really but enough stuff to produce far more than the number of zombies that will attack.

I don't think the city vermin will fare too well once they move into the suburbs or rural areas. As a matter of policy, most rioters in my experience limit themselves to areas they are familiar with. Burglars might wander into suburbia from time to time to try daytime break-ins when no one is home, but they are a lot more scared of armed citizens than they are of cops and courtrooms. With good reason.

Yep, why burn down someone else's neighborhood businesses when ours are right here?

Because they are mindless nihilists whose concept of "Future consequences for past or present actions" extends about 7 minutes into the future. Jailing them is largely about respite for society and their loved ones, who also suffer frequently from their depredations. No one wants to say those words, but they can't fire me for speaking truth now.
