That NOE 311-180 looks a lot like the RCBS 180 grain GC RNFP. Been shooting that one for years. Have not yet found a caliber 30 that would not shoot it well. That includes the Garand, M1A and FAL and bunches of bolt rifles.
4350 is a good powder for the bullet. Nice "gentle push" down a long tube.
Missionary,
I've had good luck with the IMR 4350 and jacketed in my 06's so far. I really like the looks and construction of this bullet, time will tell. The Lyman CB manual shows a 15 gr range, to me that says alot of other people have spent some time developeing loads with this powder.

Any thoughts of using 4831...looks pretty good with slightly heavier bullets..maybe use mag primers?
Quicksilver,
I don't have any 4831 right now. I've got 8 lbs each 4350, 4198, and reloder 7. The rifle likes 4350 and the Nosler 165 BT bullet, so I'm thinking the 4350 would be a good place to start. I'm guessing somewhere in that 15 gr. range is a sweet spot. My BAR, this 700 and my sons 700 all like the 4350 and 165 BT load also. If I can find a good cast load for this rifle it will never see a jacketed bullet again, while I own it. Whom ever inherits the rifle will get a bunch of ammo with it.
