Short version . Bought a couple packages several years for .......well it was during the last you don't need one so buy 2 thing .

Gas port issue . Now I would think someone would have noticed during the "every upper is test fired for function" stage but apparently (intended for humourous effect) Karen aka Inspector 13 from Lee was on shift when this went through .

I've been wrong before , but that looks rather like a broken drill bit .

Any suggestions for getting it out ?
It's a push on clearance to drive it out inside it's about .1ish down and .05 portruding inside . .750 OD minus .223 ID leaves me .265 for barrel wall . It might make it punched ....... 15kpsi didn't blow it out and it is rammed full of copper and lead if it was test fired ....... I do have another barrel but my wrench is AWOL .

Fortunately I didn't test fire it also . It's about a .065 hole so it'll take a punch I don't have on hand too .

Warranty return is long ago out of the question .

And here I was, annoyed by 3 consecutive short chambers, lol.

Use a rod that will fit down the bore with a wrap or 2 of electrical tape. Hit broken bit with punch from top. Just need to shatter the bit into pieces. Then it comes out easy. Broken bits usually break up more purty easy.

Grind down a short starter punch if you have any your willing to sacrifice.

Maybe a carbide end mill?

That's a doozy to find late in the game. I'd love to hear what Bill or Keith would say about it.

Best wishes.

I read about and edm drill solution but that's not possible from here . I do have an R&R barrel ......

Looking forward to other inputs though .

Shoot Real heavy bullet without GB? Or plug both ends with rubber cork after filling with oil or water and hit one cork with hammer. Normal pressure vessel test.
Didn't notice it had been fired. Suggest contact vendor anyway - that is no good. Might be able to lever it out with a wrapped brass rod angled on the end. If twist drill broke before all the way through have to reverse some to loosen - driving in will be trying to cut steel. Kinda like trying to remove broken easy-out.

It portruds in to the bore ..... Anybody knows where the chips might go . I actually had not considered the hydraulic ejection angle .

I was gonna say exactly what Freebullet said. Grind a close-fitting punch and tap it in about halfway into the bore and break it off with a rod and hammer. Punch the rest through, or if you don't think it will go drive it in a little more and snap it off again.

I was able to get a .06ish punch in hand but not a suitable rod for the bore .

The first bump was like a sharp prick punch in crs .....the second felt like it actually moved some . It collapsed into the barrel on reset . That was cool , no real chuncks just coarse dust like the iron that sticks to a dropped magnet . Ran a couple patches through and they weren't shredded looks like maybe a bit left . Of course only shooting will really say for sure .

maybe a little lapping compound on a tight patch and work that hole over some to try and break down any inside burrs or clinging chips.

I wonder how the next hole went for them?

Probably a big ugly S scar .
Actually if I were on it I'd use a threaded bit or like with a length of less than .4 long so there wouldn't be any wonder just a bit that wouldn't cut ......
Supposed to be a Wilson or Mossy barrel , 2nds/blems I'd bet at the kit prices they are blem 2nds .
