Cindy and I were sitting at the kitchen table @ 6:15 last evening, had the TV on in LR , with a baseball game on. Can see the front window, also. Saw some movement, out of the corner of my eye.

This young buck, took his time proceeding down the gravel drive on the west side of the house. Looks like he'll be at least a 6 point, the legal minimum around here.

Come season he will be a bit wiser and harder to find. I don't know how they know but they do.

He looks like he will have some nice headgear.

Seen him out back on June 10th, with is buddy @ 7:00 AM. Also have the both of them on the trail cam, in the food plot, around that same time frame.

Nice little buck!

I love this hermit life! Seems you never believe what you'll see looking out! Like this guy as I looked out the kitchen window (and took a picture through it too.) This Muley was still shedding his winter coat... Just laying there in the shade like he owned the place some 30 ft from my back door.

I've got another late fawn Muley button buck that I thought might die but he is perking up now. He sleeps right under my bedroom window! He must know I don't like Mountain lions anymore than he does! The wife says he knows I'm his protector.

Then I've heard deer don't like citrus fruit...... That said I threw a orange peel out back. Magpies will eat them. Imaging what I saw a little later! Whitetail doe poised for a rather different picture to say the least!

Checked the trail cams, yesterday. Been lax, due to not wanting to contend with the bugs. This guy got his picture took.

Looks like he's well on his way to sport a nice rack.:D

Happy birthday the 13th. Allways been a good day for me.
You've probably already got one of these wine bottle openers, but they work so good if,...like me the hands don't always work so good. 0705181200.jpg
I got this Xmas before last for the wife, she always has me open them for her. ;)
It works so well, you'll be looking for the next one.
This was the middle of the road, price wise. One brand had an extra cork screw. This doesn't but has lasted. Its the "peak reserve" brand. Don't know if it's a re-badge. Found it on Amazon, (way to easy to do shopping on)
To work, use enclosed cutter for seal, clamp to bottle, press lever down, lift lever, remove opener and cork last 1/4 inch or so from bottle, press lever down again, raise and the cork falls on floor. :)

Not the same brand but one similar. Hardly use it. Prefer the all metal ones with the two levers on either side of the cork screw. Screwpull bottle opener works well but don't last...............made out of plastic. Alright for genuine corks but the synthetics are hard on them.

Winelover,
From the scratches on that buck, it looks like it has been scratched up by a fence. Spot on the back of his neck makes me think that also.

Pete,
When I first looked at that picture of the doe with the orange peel, I thought it was a pancake. Reason I thought that was a fawn my aunt raised just loved pancakes. My grandmother was a terrific cook and that fawn would come up on the back porch and just prance around when she made pancakes.
