Stamping on the barrel .455 I assume that’s diameter, but is the .760” the case length?

Nice. I have wanted one for about 20 years. Circumstances and all that.
Happy for you!
Would be great you can figure out the cartridge, and it is safe to fire. If you get it going bang safely. You must post!!!

Yes, groove diameter of the barrel.

Has it been cut for 45 AR or still in .455 Webley?

Very nice looking! Much better than the one that lives at my brother's house.

Unfortunately, I believe it has been shaved on the back of the cylinder. Now that I check it out, I do not see any cartouches or markings on the back of the cylinder, which is a telltale sign. I guess I am on a quest to find some 45 auto rim brass.

Extra brass! Ha ha! Thats funny! As if... ;)
It has happened. But I doubt with 250 45R.
Now if he had my luck...
He would put it off over and over. Then just give up , order 500, bite the bullet. Then do without something else.
Then 2 weeks later, find 3000 for free, or at least dirt cheap somewhere.

If all y'all were closer, I'd give you free brass. I went through the canyon today and filled 1/2 a 5 gallon bucket. Mostly 9mm and 5.56

I am fond of the top-break revolver concept. The S&W Schofield system in 45 S&W should have caught on far better than it did. Webley ran with the concept and created a worthwhile series of revolvers.

I have one of the Webley-Enfield WWII-vintage revolvers in 38 S&W. An HKS speedloader for the Colt D-frame 38s fits it well. That DAO wheelgun isn't Camp Perry-capable but it is enjoyable to shoot and places the NEI #169A castings (202 grains in 92/6/2) where the sights look at 25 yards. 4" at 25 yards and centered at aim point is adequate for recreation, certainly.

Top-breaks shouldn't be stressed pressure-wise, but it is a viable system for self-defense and ease of refill if its cartridge is up to the task. That 455 Webley easily qualifies in that regard.

I would expand on this to say no revolver/pistol should be stressed pressure-wise. Rifles too! I admit to having mellowed some as I have aged. I can't see where fighting for that last 50-150 fps. of velocity ever made a difference in any game I have hunted. I admit to liking big bore handguns but will any critter know the difference when being hit with a 45Colt 285gr. SWC at 900 fps or 1200? A 44Mag at 1100-1200 or 1500? For sure this shooter knows the difference in recoil, muzzleblast, and more than likely weapon system wear and tear.
Yep, I'm getting old.
