made a higher front sight blade for a friend's win. 95 (browning) . it was already shaped and would be very difficult to clamp in a machine vice. there were no parallel sides to clamp. i need to drill a .047 hole for the pin that holds the sight blade to the base. my toggle clamp is too big. so here's what worked. i super glued the blade to a piece of .125 aluminum flat plate. after it dried i drilled the hole; worked perfect. afterward i heated the bottom of the plate with a small butane torch and the sight blade came loose. just thought i'd pass this on.
