In the High 90's again today, as it was for the past two days, and is forecast to be for the next 2-3 days before cool off to the High 80's. Humidity high as well. I usually cast in the garage with the door open this time of the year, but it is in the 90 bracket there, and with long sleeves, long pants etc, decided to pass on that till the temps drop some. My loading room is in the basement, and is air conditioned, so I think today will be a good 9mm loading day. Have over thousand of 9mm casings, and that would bring me up an adequate inventory.Am really enjoying the 4 hole Lee. Not as fast as a Dillon by any means but more than adequate for an old duffer like me. Am thinking I will try loading K's on it next. Did get to the range on Mon, the only day that we had some rain and was decent, so can't complain much. Range in the high 90's however is for those who appreciate the heat much more than me.

I think those in the central US have gotten it worse so far this year than we have. We've been steady 95/73 for weeks on end with humidity at 85-ish in the mornings and 30-ish by afternoon. So far none of our typical blistering 102-105 days....yet.

About now I would kill for humidity in the 30's. It's been at the lowest 65% in the afternoon going back up to the high 90's nights and mornings. Temps in the mid 90's everyday. Standing outside in the shade doing nothing but standing there with a garden hose sweating profusely. Not fun.

Our heat index yesterday was 111! It could be 115 today. I used the weed-eater this morning very early. Back inside now and will remain here, no casting today :>(.

I just loaded 2000 9mm on a Lee 4 holer. No, it is no Dillon but it did very well.

a press shoves a case in a hole and puts powder, primer, and bullets in the case.
if it does that 100% of the time consistently sizing, priming, and powder weight, without fidgeting and fighting, it don't matter what color it's painted it's a good press.

if it doesn't do that 100% of the time, or is a PITA to fight with, it again don't matter what color it comes in.
it's coming off my bench.

we been getting up near 90 the last day or so, but things should come down to the low 80's in the next few day's.
it's been brutally hot in the late afternoon.
glad I put in those sprinklers and the A/C unit it makes things a lot simpler.

I just got back from Jackson Tennessee. It was 98 when I finished work at 7:00 PM Wednesday afternoon, with pretty high humidity.
Yesterday was about the same when I drove home. Pretty funky here right now. Mid-90s at lunch with humidity around a trillion percent. We have a storm cell that has stalled on the Indiana/Ohio border, so it basically feels like a dog panting on you outside.
Tomorrow is vehicle maintenance day, so that should be fun. Two oil changes, both wheel bearing hubs and shocks to swap on the wife's Bug.
I am hoping it calms down by sunday, I am hoping to hit the range.
On the upside, the garden has gone to full jungle mode.
speaking of jungles, my area is completely surmounted by mosquitoes this year. Pretty weird.

Up here in NEPA It is a forecast of contrasts! Tuesday and Wednesday morning it was in the low 50's ( Actually at my house on Wednesday morning it was jumping between 49 & 50) but yet we came close to 90 both of those days. Now we are in for the Midwest's heat pump! In the low 90's today and the next two days promises even hotter. Very strange summer here so far

107* yesterday, up to 110* today supposedly. Fo-GIT this drag, Buckshot and I are headed for gunshops with A/C. He called a bit ago, got all worn out while in the garage refilling 45 Colts.

Al, if you have to get worn out, cant think of a better way than by refilling 45 Colts! I am
Loading 9MM w/102 Lees over 5 gr. of RD right now. Pretty stiff load, but shoots well. Will probably back off to 4.8 gr. Pretty well fills up the case. Functions well in LC9. Wish lee made a 6 holer for that bullet.

86 at 6 am is no fun. Where I work all of our products are 260-320 this time of year. A great company run by great folks that are understanding so no whining from me.
FYI we had a north wind this am so snow is coming!!!!!

WHOA! 260*-320* is off-the-hook hot!

The 9mm is at its best when run kinda hot. I like the 125 grain-class bullets at 1225-1250 FPS myself.

Temps seem to be dropping in to the 80's. Yesterday and today tolerable. May try
to hit range tomorrow. Looking forward to when the temps are in the 70's sustained.
Probably not till Sept, or Oct however.
