As many as I can.
Everyone I know has hit me up for 9 mm ammo.
I'm limiting it to family only, but I am almost out of cast bullets.
I do have 500 9mm, 124 gr. Hornady XTPs, (given to me by a coworker as a gift) but have no experience or pet loads for them.
The Hornady Manual, edition no. 9, does not have any load data for BE-86, which is what I would probably want to use. Either that or unique.
I may have to do a melt and draw down a bunch of 90 gr 35/38 cal rang fmj jackets to .301 and see if I can make the 100-110 gr RNHP swage die set up work . Ya just never know when something like that might come in handy . You can get like 32-3500 out of an 06' , right ?
Probably not .
Casting some 45-200 class and loading some 223 is looking more practical from here .
Getting a lazy start to the morning, but as mentioned on another thread I'm thinking about 457193, and 452374 from a single cavity.
I cast such a large stash last Winter that I haven't had to cast anything this one.
That pile was 675+ for 9mm. Cast about 300 of same last night to break in the mould. Will likely spend afternoon powder coating those and 1000 for the 45 Colt.
May fire the pot up again later. Never can have too many bullets looking for a case.
I doubt I'll cast, but I will be loading up a storm. Everytime there are (ahem) "social issues" I tend to load up a bunch of 223. I changed my 550 over to 223 last night. Earlier this week I performed its regular maintenance, and realigned the shell plate, using the proper factory tool. BTW, if you don't check out your 550 & 650 shell plate alignment regularly you can have issues with crooked bullet seating that will drive you stark raving nuts!
I am shooting mostly NOE 454424 in mine. I tend to be a ”one gun, one bullet” kinda guy.
Doing the HP conversion won’t be too hard. Need to decide between a captive slide bar pin and a removable pin like Lyman uses.
I worked half a day, came home and just got settled in after eating lunch. There was a small box from Utah in the mail, so I have a light .38 DE wadcutter mould to break in if I can get some time this afternoon.
Those boxes from Utah are a wonderful thing. Mine was opened and broken in last night. In 20 minutes the last of a good 1000 bullets will be powder coated and just in need of sizing.
Either TG or more Winchester 473AA. I have most of a half-keg of the latter and it does great with the Lee 125 RFs. They're coming out .359" with straight wheelweights so I might just roll'em in BLL.
Have been casting & PC coating most of the week....no photos
Only allowed to go for groceries at the "old folks time" of 6 am to 7 am! Oh yes we can take a walk as long as in it in not in an area of more the 9 people!
So I guess that is what i will be doing this week also
