You can blame Lamar for giving me GPS coordinates over here and extending an invite.

However, I do see some familiar, friendly faces. It's a chilly evening here in the north DFW area. It's a good night to sit in the easy chair by the fireplace, munch on my delivery pizza and browse this site and see who's here and what's been going on since my exile from over yonder.

Chilly? Texas chilly is a balmy day in Nebraska. We are happy to have wind chill above zero today.

Glad Lamar extended an invite. Not sure why one of us didn't do that sooner?

As for exile, that is exactly why most of us are here.

Welcome JD, very pleased to see you here. Throw another log on the fire and enjoy, that is what I'm doing right now also. Well, no pizza. :(

I'll be danged, another survivor washes ashore! Good to have you back, "JD", and hope your health, flight status, and other shakeups have normalized.

PS speaking of chilly, coldest day of the year so far today and it might freeze tonight. Had a big steaming bowl of venison/turkey chili with onYONS and cheese, spinach/olive/pickle salad, and first nip of single malt this winter tonight.

Welcome......great minds think alike. Pizza was on yesterday's menu, and Wednesday's left over chili, today. Having a cold snap, here. Nineteen degrees this AM, with a high of thirty-five.

Damn, now I gotta get a pizza. Maybe this afternoon between throwing another log on the fire.

Go out and pick up a Papa Murphy's "Take & Bake" to try. Best carry out in our area. IMO. Ten to twelve minutes in a 425 degree oven. You should be able to handle that...I know you can bake bullets.

I think before I spend the money on a pizza I have to bake I should first see if the oven works.

The smoke flavor does come out. I set it at 425 and cook for same time as I would in oven. Totally different flavor.

John's Holland grill is propane. He will wait a very long time for the smoke flavor.

You bet, they're excellent. Thin crust, artichoke chicken w/bacon crumbles and a garden salad....that's a once a week deal at our house.

Such a shame. My pellet grill is more a smoker than anything. It does some awesome ribs and brisket too. Just did a righteous pork loin the other day.

We had the Mediterranean Chicken, regular crust (not a fan of thin) spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, Feta, and herbs. Don't like artichokes.

I just use the clone of the Big Green Egg, on the lower level, for a smoker.
