I shot my friend's Ruger # 1 in .35 Whelen , 40 degree, ACK improved yesterday at the range. It is a shooter ! !

I fired the NOE 230 gr. RF. , sized .358 ", with 13 grs. of Unique.
5 @ 50 yards.

I have been researching the 30s rifle today and I think I am going to like it. I'd rather have one blue/walnut rifle than 3 plastic stocked guns. But I do own 4 plastic stocked rifles/pistols.

I am researching loading data too. Between recovery and more rain there is nothing else to do.

Come to think of it I have 35 cal guns...but they have very short barrels..like 6"

You'll love that piece..civilian US 1917...

Ben,
I will certainly try that load. I cast, load or shoot right now and I start PT Wednesday. I ripped my rotator cuff and biceps tendon taking out the trash.

Here's wishing you a quick and uneventful rapid recovery with zero complications.

Best to you Malcolm,

I've found that shooting my 35 Whelem is beneficial to my bad shoulder! Feels great afterward. Hope it works out for you, too! Get better fast!

I have one Marlin 35 Rem. I have to seriously restrain myself any time I see another one. And if I ever see a 760 em in 35, it will be over... I fully understand!

Congrats on the JES rifle. Hope it shoots lights out for you. I too love the light unique loads in my whelen. I load 12 gr. behind a noe 360009 pb in my 1/14" twist. 1275 fps., easy on the shoulder, and just stupid accurate.
