I worry too much

Got family members that suffer (and that's the right word!) from anxiety every hour of every day. Very, very hard thing to help someone with and leads to other self destructive crutches and behavior.

do them locks have a GPS on 'em ?
Cuz, why leave it behind, except for a cool photo Meme.
Looks like the lug nuts are still there. I can see someone forgetting, jumping in the car, throwing it reverse and shearing the hub right off the axle!

The picture is fuzzy, can't really tell, but the jolt it'd take to shear the bolts off, would seemingly make them nuts fly, I'd think?
Also, the shadow looks like light is going through lug holes.

A real wheel lock generally has a disc portion that covers the lug nuts to prevent this from happening. Must be a cheap imitation, like a heavy duty bike or Motorcycle lock.

You can get a backpack and carry yesterday's worries with you or just wait till tomorrow's. There will be some. Some need something to keep their brain working. She talks a lot about other (mostly relatives) physical ailments - I know she cares. But actually she can't FIX anything! 'What-if' is reasonable for some circumstance but not most. Define the real problem, think of real possible solutions. Write them down and toss in a pile. Go back later and see what happened. Keep score.

I said shearing the HUB off the axle, not shearing the bolts off. I've sheared the hub off the axle on a tractor before. I can definitely see it happening on a little 1" axle on a car.

Makes sense to you or me, but when someone is in the middle if it and having a anxiety attack you can't reason with them.

There are serious and legitimate medical conditions. Generalized Anxiety Disorder is one. Sometimes it's years of unhealthy thought patterns and habits that get people in bad shape, sometimes it's a chemical condition, often it's both together. The medical establishment has drugs that help if a person is willing to go through the ups/downs and guessing game of finding the right one for them. Recovery is a process and cognitive behavioral therapy is a big part of it, but people don't have to live like that if they don't want to.

Ask me how I know.

Had a cousin that needed to take a lithium compound for his mental problems, which were 99% caused by his own body chemistry. Problem was that after taking them for a long time he would start to take things for granted and thought he was cured and would stop taking them and then everything would go to hell again.

i got the opposite problem.
i'd have just left the car there and took the stereo.
then called my insurance company telling them someone stole the stereo, and used that money to buy another POS car.

Or more likely just a photo-shopped image to make a meme that's not real but still funny.

You can't take life too seriously

Anxiety Disorder - there are actual medical ones like bi-polar but most are conditioned. Phobias are 'learned'.

There are a few things we should worry about, if we want to keep on living. But most of the things we worry about are not real, just twists and turns in our minds. I could write a small tome about how not to worry, but that would be preaching and very religious.
