I have a similar picture I took of a rock in the middle of Big Bend park. My caption is "the butt-crack of nowhere", which is exactly the GPS coordinates of its location. It's a film pic or I'd post it.

I tent camped at Big Bend once (Chisos basin). That was quite the experience..waking up in a nylon tent while a herd of 30+ javelinas wander through my camp site. Great hiking there...enjoyed a few trails near/adjacent to the Rio grande. I loved visiting the rocky desert in January, I'd hate to live there year around.

if you get down to the desert in late feb, early march it's a wonderful place.
not overly hot during the day, the nights are still cool, and things are in bloom.

I won't jump on the "Ex" subject, as my comments may not be suitable for this discussion. Lol. However after close observation it does appear to be a picture of a "Hard A**". Lol
