Bret is absolutely right about the degreased steel wool and coarse carding material when doing a whole rifle with Oxpho Blue (I have used a scrap of old blue jean denim to good effect). Heat gun and keep the surface flooded with the paste via the lump of steel wool as it dries out quickly.
Oxpho comes in a paste now? I gotta get with the times! Does the paste offer anything over the liquid? Other than not dripping off I mean?

They make a paste now so it doesn't have to be shipped hazmat. The paste is great, easy to apply, no dunk tank needed, heat the metal as much as you need without it cooling off in the liquid, etc. Apply the paste with a cotton ball or the steel wool
