... & just to keep things a little weird... the 50 Walker

I've started posting a few of my other custom revolvers... this one is still in the works... completed & in testing, before cosmetic finishing...

this started out as a Uberti Colt Walker kit... has had extensive work done to it to both strengthen & modify it... there is a cartridge out there I think called "45 black powder magnum" that is similar but uses black powder... because of the weird science & machining, this gun uses the same 460 S&W case  only instead of filling with black powder, it uses smokeless... not a full charge 460 S&W obviously... but at pressure just a little over the normal 45 Colt loadings... BTW... the new Cylinder is 4140 steel, & the frame was specially case hardened for toughness, not color, & the arbor is new & bigger in the weakest areas, & the revolver also includes a taper pin to locate everything, & doesn't rely totally on the wedge... so it has had intensive modification in order to do this... the chambers are about an 1/8" shorter to prevent factory 460 cases from being inserted... barrel cylinder gap is tight & regulated by the taper pin... I did try a black powder load once, but the revolver got sticky too fast

I've been playing with my quarter bores lately & don't remember the loads & powders off the top of my head, other than I do have one load of nearly a case full of Trailboss...

here are a few pictures...

DUDE!!! that is completely awesome.
I see a spot for a small scope or red-dot which would completely make it a specialized package.
I really like it.
