I don't know how long Kimber has had revolvers in its product line. Anybody know much about them, their design, etc.?
Hickock45 did a review in the late 2016 time frame, a little while before Colt came out with their first new Cobra revolvers. The Colts started at $799 MSRP, but I saw one advertised last month (Bud's, I think) for $586. I do not recall seeing the Kimber revolvers come down on the market, though.
Colt has offered several re-makes of their double-actions. They now offer a 3-inch fixed-sighted King Cobra, and also a 4-inch Match variant King Cobra, with adjustable sights and an improved trigger, for $1K MSRP. A month ago these were listedby online retailers but not in stock. I imagine if I wait a little while the price on these would go down, too. It would be interesting to have a .357 companion for my .38 Special Officer's Model.
Or, I could just wait and get the accurizing tuneup for my mid-'90s vintage King Cobra at Cylinder and Slide. The problem is my travel schedule.
Does anybody else fix timing and 'smith Colt double-actions?
