I am finding the Ruger Carbine , 9mm to be an impressive rifle.
I fired near 80 rounds a few days ago in about 20 minutes.
Not a bit of lead in the bore of my rifle.
A couple of tight , clean , white cotton patches through the barrel, ( no
oil or cleaning solvents ) and the bore looked like a mirror.
Which leads up to my next comments ,
In my opinion, in order for a cast bullet to be accurate, it has to be :
- Large enough in diameter to fill the bore properly.
- The bullet should be the proper length to match the twist of the barrel.
- You must have a load that does not " over stress " the alloy you are using.
( I'm certain there are 25 ( or more ) other important factors in accurate cast bullet loads, but the ones above were the 1st ones to came to my mind )
