Local Walmart surprised me

Lots of powders do better in certain applications but I don't think any other powder does all the things Unique can do. Rifle, handgun, shotgun, it does it all. The one powder I would ALWAYS make sure I had on hand.

What I would have said, but Keith beat me to it.

Our sporting goods stares and full of hot pink and neon green running shoes and not much else.
Some have a handful of reloading supplies, but usually only one brand of each.
Cabelas and Bass Pro Shop have the most, but are WAY over priced.

Was in Cabelas yeasterday. Nothing special. There is a gun and pawn here, biggest volume dealer in the SE. Where I buy about all my guns. Wish he had reloading stuff, but he is also biggest ammo dealer in the SE, so.... Another small shop I can get powder and reloading stuff - but a bit high. But as you say, still good to keep them in business. Otherwise it is order powder, and that is a non-starter w/ the hazmat

Elko and Winnemucca Walmarts carried a basic selection of reloading but zip within 100 miles of California .
The Co-op store here looks good otherwise it's all mail order Powder valley isn't too far away for a pick up . BP isn't really a big deal ......... Lots of black willow around here they say that makes great charcoal .

About 5/6 weeks ago the local WM emptied the handgun and rifle ammo off the shelf, two days ago I noticed it was back, thought it was gone for good, but no, and there is more of it, surprise, surprise. Lots of 22LR which was not available 6 weeks ago so I grabbed two 550 round boxes of Federal. Don't know why I got them I have about 10,000 LR's. They have no reloading stuff like powder and primers etc. Of course living in Ma I probably don't need to say anymore.

No reloading stuff in any WM around NW Ohio - at least that I've seen. That would be a boon because the very few small shops around here carry very little. You have to drive an hour to get to a shop that carries any kind of selection - and then you have to be able to afford it. A friedn stumbled onto a sale on Unique last year at a big shop, called and asked it was "any good." I told him to get us each at least 5# before it was gone and I'd explain later. $20/# by the time they added sales tax.

Unless/until we pool our lunch money and hit a killer online sale, we don't get a whole lot of choices.
