Long overdue project

image.jpeg The chaos level reached critical mass in the lab, so I had to overhaul my reloading bench. No more projects until it was under control.
I threw together a couple of shelving units/bookcases/whatever, threw away a bunch of nonsense and here we go. I also doubled the width of another bench and dedicated it to repair work and so on.
Very glad I did it.

I'm all for it! I'm a self confessed clutter bug. Granted, my loading bench is Spartan and clear of debris, the rest of the house isn't! I bought über good book , and since it's arrival, been reading almost nonstop. The book you say? "The life-changing magic of tidying up " by a young lady from Japan named Marie Kondo. She is pure genius. ;)

Can I come use that bench space? I probably don't have more than a few square inches open on mine.

So in the process of cleaning up, I found no joke like 10 different containers of random cast bullets. A whole bunch were a semi wadcutter that I had abandoned for use in the 45 colt. So those and all of the other orphans went out to shed and were remelted into ingots. I was thankful I had scrawled what allow they were on each little container..

Freebullet, I am willing to lease a portion of it to you. I take cash, labor, and cigars in trade.

I've outgrown my space. It was organized, a few years ago, but stuff keeps going in and not much comes back out. Went from one bench in the shop to an 11x14 room, now I'm seriously considering dedicating half of the 30x20 space behind the future carport to reloading and turning the reloading room into an armory. Or maybe the other way around. Organization and non-cluttered work spaces are a lot easier to maintain when you have room for everything.

I did some cleaning about 2 years back. Threw my un-used test bullets and stuff I no longer shoot in a bucket. I ended up with 265 pounds of lead I melted back down. Freed up a ton of storage containers too.
Odd, I seem to be getting back to needing to do it again. Still have 100 pounds of the old stuff to melt down.
