Lost my mould. Or maybe just my mind.

Glad you got it figured out. Could have been a lot worse... you could have swapped off the Lyman mould and not had any idea what it was from!

I have yet to swap or sell a mould. Course I have been casting only since 2019.
Even though I have acquired a goodly amount of .35 ish moulds. I am enamored with them all so far. Shoot a lot of 9mm,38, 357, .380. Most of the moulds have a sentimental connection. I would only ever let them go on here.
Of course hereby goes the 38 in my avatar name.

Yep, I bought one of the moulds Steve was selling. Then, right after he retired, I posted a want-to-buy Lyman 452374 and he gave me a single-cavity. A short time after that he died. Sad . . .

I gave the mould to Glasparman/Mike.

Among many other awesome items Michael!

I will take care of that mould like it was my own child!
Not that it means anything, to a future Oklahoman, but my paternal grandmother was born in the Indian Territories, my paternal grandfather was born in Italy and died in Oklahoma, and my father was born in Oklahoma.

I have a couple moulds from Steve too, iirc he was selling for his friend's widow. Miss the hell out if him too, good man he was.

It’s funny how things come up, I was going through all my moulds a couple nights ago, and looking through I have a handful I bought from Mr. Steve, so I have had him on my mind last couple of days. It actually worked out where I was up close to his home and I made a trip over to pick up the molds. I sat and talked with him and his wife for a couple of hours, truly good people. I was digging through the box of stuff I had purchased and there was one extra in there, it was a 311-466 that has been hollow pointed. He told me to see if I could do anything with it that it never cast well for him, so he just decided to throw it in and let me try it. I can’t get it to do well either, the noses just won’t fill out. Think the pin needs to be reformed slightly, anyway. I’ll never sell that one. As I was leaving Mr. Steve said let’s run down to the barn a minute. We went to the barn and he gave me dang near 80 pounds of clean COWW in 1 pound ingots. I’m still using some of that alloy today.

Ian, you and Mitty are right, he is missed.
