Lube sizers .......

I have avoided this like a flea infested deer mouse packing Haunta and Bubonic .
The price was right and I only had to wait for one other bidder to flake out . Now what I need to know is whose 2nds was old man Herters lubsizer ?
Was it just a copy that needs a particular parts set or was it a those are good run me 1000 of them but with this fitting there thing ? Not something stupid like Redding nose punches and Lyman dies with a Lachmiller ejector rod ...... that's my luck actually .......
For the money I really can't get hurt either way unless it has gun threads on everything .

I found a couple of old , 05' threads , over there . I have a 50/50 chance of it being a Seaco Second , or assembled from Cramer leftovers , or being Lyman/RCBS compatible . Sight unseen . Offered by Hornsurgeon , having done business with him I don't think he's the sort that would knowingly sell junk without a parts disclaimer . Being a second on it 2 weeks ago I don't even recall what the description was other than being offered for $35 + shipping .

If it is all Seaco that'll be the highest rent piece of equipment on the bench except maybe Forster/Bonanza 264 WM bench rest sizer and inline seater set .

Looks just like mine, takes Lyman dies with the o-ring around the top and Lyman top punch. I've had good luck with mine.

That kinda looks like an old Ideal sizer, pre-Lyman 45. Looks good, I think you're in business.

Sure hope it has a die in it I can use ........ So far everything has been push through dies so this is a big deal for me .......

Careful disassembly , unstick the stuck , discover that Darrs even my desert version is to soft , buy 14-28 dies and I'm off .

BTW - if anyone needs to know what size o rings the lyman sizer dies take, let me know. I needed one and bought a package of them. They aren't in the std "value" mixed size box.

I had a otherwise nice 45 but with a goofed up brass piston. Current piston with rings fits. I use it for the cast rifle bullets. Still works very well. Ordered the part from Lyman.

Lyman sells those? COOL--some of mine are getting long in the tooth and are perpetrating evil if given the opportunity.

Didn't get mine from Lyman. Amazon I think. I had a mixed box of O-rings. None fit. Pulled out the trusty handy dandy Mic and figured out the size and bought a pack.

Ok . It has the sizer die set screw and 0 ring piston .
Anybody got a spare manual laying around ?

O-ring piston sounds like it was replaced with later model part? Double O-ring, right?

Looks like a single but I'll get it cleaned up a little more tomorrow so I can see it all better .
Looks like it just has some chunky 1974 graphite grease in the lube chamber and smells like Aero Shell 80/40 .
