The bullet is " seemingly " a bit heavy for my SAKO .222 Rem sporter.
However, it shoots pretty well.

Would make for a nice cheap training load for my grandson Trevor.

That will work.

I don’t know that Trevor needs much more training, he seems to have it down pretty well. He just needs more trigger time to reinforce the process.

Ummm, I'd think 2,200 fps. would be a bit much for edible small game ? ?

head shots or chest shots don't tear up meat.

doesn't the 462 have a round nose?
that helps minimize damage too..
I know a lot of guys put a little flat spot on the nose of their 22Lr. bullets to help with squirrel/rabbit kills.

Shot a few squirrels with the 225438 RN from my Khornet ‘Tender. At 1600+ FPS it was a killer. Left one hell of an exit hole. Head shots only if you want something to eat.

That 225462 is my most accurate bullet in my ancient 22 hornet with 16" twist. I shoot them around 2400 fps using H4227 and even with the round nose our sage rats (Belding ground squirrel) often end up in two pieces.

QuickLoad thinks your 11 grains RL7 gives you about 1700 fps. I'd guess that's not far off.
