Going to guvment in "time" on the drafting machine today, try to step up my vision on designing parts for the XS.After decades of use,it still is a bonafide tool in a prototype/cabinet shop.

Throwing the book at advancing the acc AND usefulness of my EDC XS.Got the cheap,,playschool wind meter, hey it works....doh.Next up is a custom Kydex cheek rest.1/8" thick 9x12 sheet off the bay(amazon might be cheaper). The premade CR (cheek rest) just ain't getting it done, mainly hdwr..but other issues as well.

To the drafting machine.Hollow Tupperware stock.Single sided Kydex, custom aluminum"pillars" coming out vertically which allow attached CR posts to slide up/down inside.Set screw access holes mill/drilled through"off side" of buttstock. That's the easy part.

How the pillars interface w/stock?One pce or two?The patented (ha) system has to be light/bank vault solid/easy peasy install?CR will attach to post system w/socket cap flatheads.Allowing for, quick enough changes.Violin chin things?....I don't think they're welded on?..doh.

Kydex forming slam covered.

Buddy, I'm not sure about most of what you said there but, I generally just warm up plastics & shape them from there.;)

Last line of OP,plastic forming a non issue.

The balance of post was attachment method....and specific hdwre design.Sorry for the confusion.

Got it drawn, and am about 90% figured out,WRT to machining steps. Will spend a little more time tomorrow.

rip off the kick eze or soft touch system.
a quick google of shotgun cheek pads will pull them up.
they are adjustable up/down and for left right.
the left-right allows me to shoot more head upright with a slightly shorter and locked in on the chest stock length and puts both eyes in better alignment with the scope.

You can get parts from Ken Rucker at Speedbump stock works. Deal with the hollow stock with Styrofoam and block in with auto body filler where you want the pillars.
