65 yesterday, 60's & low 70' forecast for the next 10 days. Hope this is really the start of spring. That said with so little moisture this winter, if spring is not wet, we just might be in for a drought. Oh well, tis what tis I guess.

Paul, careful what you ask for.
Spring in Nebraska is about 2 weeks long. It quickly turns into hot, humid summer.

I would love a few months of 60-70 for a high and 40 for a low. Too bad it is just a pipe dream in Nebraska.

Piles of snow outside and my tomato plants are 4-5 inch high under the lights set up in my basement….I'm starting to get worried!

Spring has sprung already in Louisiana. Dogwoods are in full bloom. I saw a bush loaded with huckleberries, still green, a few days ago. Pollen from pine trees has everything green including the black car and the black cat. Azaleas are just a little past prime.

Sept. 10, 2021 Steve left us. You are missed.
Struttin turkeys, one of my favorite spring hobbies getting closer. Been seeing them daily lately.

We seem to be entering our second stage of spring...as we did not have winter, it was much more spring like. I like spring...but it is bitter sweet as it lasts about 2wks and is a precursor to the long, HOT and HUMID summer that lasts until Oct. But, it ain't like we are not used to it...been that way all of my life.

Been sunny mid 70s to low 80s here with high 40s foggy nights. Nights are still too cool to plant the tomatoes.
Much of tomorrow will be spent near the smoker. Duck, beef ribs and beer brats; brats for lunch and the duck and beef ribs for dinner. While the food's cooking I'll be hoeing and pulling weeds in the garden.

I run my dogs twice a day. My field is like walking on broken glass in the morning (frozen) and slip and slide in the evening, with the days thaw, leave a set of tracks everywhere we walk.

140 miles north they expect a snow skiff down to 5000' Friday . Last Saturday was 80 at the house just over 4100' . It's currently about 70 with heavy overcast and a snow balls chance of rain . Due south about 75 miles at 8000' there's still 3'+ of snow covering the burn area so no big rush to get the melt off there .

It isn't spring until we see the local weather guy on the tube for an entire evening due to storms.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
8F as I write this. Yesterday was a high in the low 20's with a stiff breeze and wind chills below zero. It'll warm up today and hopefully rain a bit. Amish auction Saturday, rain forecast, hope to get a parts manure spreader. Team of Suffolks there I'd love to get, but not any chance of that. Should be a good time visiting with farmer friends though.

Been an easy winter here. Jan/Feb were warm. January thaw lasted a month. Not the first time that's happened but not enough snow to get into the woods.
