Mold Advice

Have 2 rifles I have never shot cast out of.
25/06 and 6.5 credmoor.
Have plenty of jacketed for both but want to try cast in both just in case.
Has anyone shot cast in either one with any accuracy?
What mold do you use?
Ask as it will save a lot of time and frustration (as well as money on molds that do not work).
Any help appreciated!

This wasn't shot with a Credmoor , however I used my Howa 6.5X55 Sporter.
I'd think it would be fairly easy to get the Credmoor to shoot cast well.

At the casting bench in the sky. RIP Bret.
IIRC there have been some articles on the 25-06 with cast in one of Handloaders compilations. I'll see if I can locate it.

My Shooting Buddy Ed, uses The NOE 260-63-FN Plain Base bullets that I cast for him in his 25-06, 257 Roberts and 250 Savage:
He like I, only shoots "Low Node" ( light Loads) at 50 yards but his 20 shot groups are very impressive Most are about 1 inch or less with all three calibers He shoots light loads of Win 231 ( Something like 3to 4 grains) Lubed only with alox and not weighed

I cast him some of these with the mould beagled and powder coated the bullets to get the dia up for his 6.5 Creedmore but he has not tested them yet. He said the Creedmore need them fatter

I have a 260-120 NOE that o paper patched for a 264 I didn't shoot any groups but I was hitting a 400 yd 22' steel plate pretty boringly .
I haven't gotten to Dad's 25-06' yet but I have the mould above and a couple of others I intend to shoot in a 257 Roberts . I think both 25s have the same 1-12 twist great for going fast , not so much for heavy .
