Seems the cost of shooting ( if you can find reloading components ) just seems to be getting higher and higher.
Today I took an inexpensive ( $22.00 ) Lee 2 cavity aluminum 312-185 RN mould and removed the gas check shank in one of the cavities. I left the other cavity with the gas check shank.
Shooting .30 cal. rifles won't get much easier or cheaper than this.

I removed the g/c shank from a friend's Lee , .30 cal. mould a few yrs. ago.
Here is the 50 yard test target with the plain based bullets from his mould.
The rifle was a Ruger # 1, 30-06. the range was 50 yards, 5 shots.
