Polar bears really like sweet peas . Go out on the ice where the bears have been hanging out and cut a big round hole in the ice . Open a can of sweet peas and gently place them around the hole you cut as close to the edge as you can get them, then go hide .When the bear comes along and is taking a pea you run out right quick and kick him in the ice hole .

Heard that in the third grade about a hundred years ago .

Yup , it and the .218 Bee were both popular with them because they used so little powder and with proper bullet placement still punched way above their weight . I use that argument every time I try to convince my shooting friends that you don't need a .300M or 7mm Mag to kill a 100 pound Tennessee whitetail at 75 yards . Every time ,, they start talking about bullet drop at 300-400 yards ! You cant even see 100 yards in the woods around here and even field shots around my area are rarely that far. Most of them got a flinch so bad they can't hit anything that far away anyhow. My .243 shoots flat enough at 300 and does not rattle your teeth doing it .

Ever hear the one about making Polar Bears swim using sweet peas ?
Another much younger than me friend, (a 40 yr.old I met when he was a teen back when I was a City cop), texted me and asked how long my shooting range was because he just picked up a 300 RUM. Apparently a friend of his was strapped for cash and gave him a deal on the rifle and 100 rounds of ammo. I told him to find some Mall Ninja with an insufficient peter complex and make a few quick bucks by selling it. He got a good laugh out of that. Told me that described the guy he bought it from.

I own a magnum , a Kimber in .325 Short Mag . It's really not a thumper in the .300 WM class but it is accurate as can be with 150 gr-200 gr bullets and I kinda like .32's anyway so I bought it . With bullets under 180 gr it kicks no more than a regular 8mm . Problem with the guys I was talking about is they are not shooters , I am , They buy two boxes of cartridges a year , use one to attempt to sight their gun in and have the other box for hunting . They know nothing about shooting to speak of and little about how to handle recoil so they flinch . I have sighted their rifles in for them and they still cant hit much with them . They have the big guns cause some gun writer said they need one but would be better off with something they can shoot . Can't tell them that .

I thought hard on a 325 when I saw them offered. My first "Deer Rifle" was a Sporterized 8mm it is now my own and is cherished. I have t mostly cause it cant do anything a half dozen other calibers do well already.
But I still like the idea of it. :)

I liked the idea and am a sucker for real nice wood and this one was real nice even for a Kimber .
