I picked up a Rem. 1100 last week at a really good price. And i wasn't disapointed when i picked it up. Overall the gun looks like it has seen little use. Except for a healthy chip missing on the but section. No rust or even bluing wear to be seen.
I figure the previous owner must have used it as a Turkey SG. It is a 12 gauge 2 3/4" chamber, Old enough not to have choke tubes, But he had a scope mounted on the receiver similar to a Savage 340. In the gun disc. he said there was a scope also. I figured with my luck it was a 20$ wonder, It ended up to be an old Weaver Steel variable 1 to 5 power. I was very happy when i saw that. Also nothing was said about a sling. But a very good cond. leather adjustable sling came with it.
To my way of thinking i came out very good on the deal. Especially when all i wanted was a truck gun to snipe a couple of grouse with.
