New handgun for the old lady

The old lady has been after me for a while to get a new handgun. She is as bad as a guy when it comes to her handguns. She already has a Ruger LCP and a G19. And has about 10 holsters for both. Now she says the LCP is too small and the G19 is too big.

So we have been on the hunt for the last 3 weeks to see what she likes. Today we stopped at a friends shop to see what he had. We have been trying to stop the whole time we have been looking but he has a one customer at a time rule right now. And you have to make an appointment. He is also a commercial reloader and has a range at his place for testing all of his ammo.

He has a Sig P365 on him as his carry gun. So we grabbed some ammo and headed outside to try it. Well we came home with it. She really liked it. $499+ tax. Did not think that was too bad.

So on the way home we stopped at the local range to try hers out. Well the ammo I loaded was too long. It would just about close but most would. You had to push the slide the last 1/16". I had these loaded for my AR9 but that has a lot of weight to slam the bolt closed. So I took the rounds and seated them shorter when I got home. The bullet is a mp-135 flat round nose. It has the reduced diameter nose. Powder coated. 5.0gr power pistol.

I have yet to handle or fire any of the SIG 320/365 series pistols. Those can only be had in the USA; Kalifornistan forbids their sale to proles and peasants.

Well it turns out the length was not the problem. All of my 9mm guns have been able to run a 0.357" bullet. Not this one. I was still having some problems with the slide sticking back. So I ran 50 bullets to 0.356" and loaded them. All 50 ran perfect and not signs of any fouling in the barrel.

So I showed the old lady the colors Smoke offers and she wanted the traffic purple. So I ordered a pound for her. That way it will be easy to see which ammo is for her gun.
