Ben asked me this AM what I was looking for at the gun show in Tulsa. I told him I didn't know.
I found this guy and it called to me.
A slightly used Ruger Single Six in 32 H&R with adjustable sights. This one has a 6.5" barrel. I saw another just like it for $75 more and a 4 5/8" barrel for another $150.

I missed one just like it a couple years ago for $500. I was sick. On the other hand I just found a 10.5" Max in like new condition with original box for $799! I'll post pictures when it makes it to it's new home.

I passed on a NIB Marlin 1894 in 25-20. I wasn't prepared to pay 1500 for one.
Can't say how many 336s I saw in 35 Rem, many for 450 or so. If brass was easy to find I would jump on one.

Guys, this show is overwhelming. I can't tell you how many rifles and handguns I saw.

Serial number search says it was made in 1988. As my wife says "Aww, it's as old as our marriage".

Brad, Those JM Marlin 336 in 35 Rems are real shooters: you would be surprised at how much brass you run into if you ask about!

I have always been impressed by the 3X/year Reno Gun Shows, and have been to 4-5 of them. It sounds like this Tulsa Show is on another order of magnitude, though.

Those Ruger SSMs were great revolvers. Judicious handloading can get the 32 H&R Mag very close to the 327 Federal's ZIP Code. I have had more than 30 years with this caliber, and anymore I seldom run the bullets past 1100 FPS--usually the RCBS 32-98-SWC. At those intensities, I don't think an SSM would ever wear out or get loose. Jackrabbits and ground squirrels HATE THE CALIBER, and a more perfect revolver round for that purpose has not been created.

Well hell, sounds like I need to grab up a Marlin in 35 Rem next time I see decent one.

This is a 6 shooter. This eliminates my desire for a Single 7 in 327 federal.

Cylinder is on way to Glen to be reamed to .3125. I got 500 Starline cases and Hornady dies yesterday.
Need to decide on a mould soon. I have a 120 rnfp that would work but is a bit heavier than I prefer.
