Newest addition to the Ruger family

IMG_0591.JPG IMG_0586.JPG I've had a hankering for one of these for awhile now. Overall it's one of the better finished Rugers I've picked up lately. Cylinder throats all except a .431 pin gauge and a .432 is a no go. Just pushing a tight patch I cannot feel any thread choke but there may be a very small amount as it looks like the front sight is clocked a little to the left. Trigger feels very clean when pulled. I might add the muzzle crown looks very nice. Proofs in the shooting so hopefully I can take her for a spin very soon. Super Blackhawk 44 mag 10.5" bbl.

Stainless and medium toned wood is hard to beat on eye candy.

Is this aimed at the hunting fields?Looks like serious Deer medicine.Hoping you a great range workout!BW

Nice looking 10 incher ! Used to see lots of those wacking over the steel rams. Very good to read yours has throats the same.

I purchased one of those several years ago and really like it. Size just about any* CB to .431" over a charge of 7.5gr. - 8.5gr. Unique and it is superbly accurate...even with open sights. Mine needed a trigger job, but yours may be better. Good luck with it!

*Ly. #429360 is a notable exception, but it wasn't designed with modern .44cal. dimensions in mind.

It can use a little trigger work but it's better out of the box than most of my other Rugers. Good, bad or ugly I'll show the results.

A Wolf trigger spring and five minutes with an India stone and 1K-grit emery paper will fix the trigger.

Have the trigger return spring. Ordered a bunch of them for future tunes. Always prepared for future additions to the ever growing family!

Thread drift just for Ian. Checked with my ffl on the CCH Henry 45-70 when picking up the SBH. Non of his distributors had any in stock. Still on my radar.

Nice revolver.

I have had a hankering for the 10" for a while...just have not found one at my price, yet.

It is sure to be a shooter with most anything you push through it. Even with the not so great triggers...they are still mighty accurate.

Have an early one, w/7 1/2" bbl. Don't shoot it much, but when I do it is
mostly with Special loads. A very accurate revolver, and trigger on mine is
excellent just as it came from the factory.
