This is the C-H version of the Texan press. Although I'm not sure who came out with this type of press first, the C_H seemed to be the most popular.

I wanted one of these for a long time (even though of making one) but, one year ago this coming Sept. I found mine. He was aking $35 and I offered $25 (yes, I know I'm cheap) and he said yes :)

It's now my go to press to take to the range! I just use a C-clamp to tie it down to the bench and it's good to go.

I haven't come across many of these type presses at gun shows, I don't think the owners like to part with them (for good reason). Although my C-H is very strong, I'd love to have one of the Texans for my heavier case forming.

Frank,

I hate to see a man " stuck on a deal."

I'd be willing to offer a $5 profit and pay the shipping on that C-H to Alabama to help you get out from under that deal. :):):):)

Ben,
Thank you very much for the offer but, even if you added a 0 to the right side of it, I'm affraid I'd have to decline :) Where will I find another?

Ben - great deal on the press and a great paint job. My Texan 3 hole sets on the bench with .357 mag dies in it and bare. The 3 column design sure makes for a great press.

Ben;
It's nice to see someone who enjoys rehabbing "old but good" equipment. You have given it another lease on life! Good show!

Beautiful presses both of them! I have been (and still am) contemplating building a press along those same lines, with either 2 or 3 stations. I have two 2" chromed cylinder shafts and the brass bushings to fit them, plus the top and bottom plates, just haven't built the linkage and assembled it! Another project for this winter.:)

Would love to see some photos when you finish the work on your press.
