Anyone know what an old Saeco mold that is marked 5G makes? Looks to be a .452 wadcutter but not sure. Appears to be after Cramer sold out to Saeco as it is marked on the sprue plate.

IIRC that's right. There should be some Cramer catalogs on line, maybe at Castpics, they may show the mould specs.

Oh be careful thinking the markings on the sprue plate belong to that mold. They do get swapped around and suddenly you are lost in the weeds.

Yes as that mold is more than 50 years old it could have easily been switched with a different sprue plate.

when SAECO bought Cramer it used the same designs and numbers for some years until they were replaced with SAECO's own designs and numbers.

I was a bulls eye shooters favorite. Long Discontinued. 3 cav mold. Not unlike other manufacturers offerings but well respected and liked. Definitely a quality mold worth owning. I have read a few times it was not catalogued. Not sure why.

With Cramer's not everything is listed and progression doesn't always fly either . I have a B4 . The B1 ,2,&3 are 270-110,120, and 130 gr (maybe it's 100 ,115 ,130) B4 is the same shape and it would follow that it should be a 270-150 .......it isn't it's a 7mm 130 ........ I've made more references than Google had when I searched it . Whatever it's worth .

Try Duck Duck Go or other search engines. Google you what they think you should have, not necessarily everything that is out there. I often have to bounce between 4 or 5 engines to find things. Real PITA.

There's one on ebay, but the pics aren't very good. It looks to be an old style round rebated nose with deep lube grooves.

I gave it a workout today...made 25 pounds of those little wadcutters. The center cavity wanted to stick and after looking at the close-up photos I saw rust in that cavity. Will have to work on that.

Very popular style for gallery NRA soft ball guns for the 50 foot line. Very light spring and 3.5 grains of Bullseye for timed and rapid fire. Could not afford one when I was shooting Bullseye, but always wanted one.

If you can find an old pencil style typewriter eraser they work great for polishing off that type of rust. Then hit the area lightly with a carpenters pencil and wipe out the residue. Should solve the "sticky".
