Older Ideal 358156 GC HP mold

I have had this mold for quite some time and it shoots very well through my 357s. Recently I've been wondering how it would shoot as a non HP SWC. So I have made a shorter pin for the mold to try out. Has anyone ever tried this before and if so, how did it work out ?
TIA, Dennis

It works fine Dennis. Lots of guys have made non-hp pins for their moulds over the ages, and companies like NOE and MP offer hollowpoint moulds with a variety of HP styles, plus a flush pin like you're describing.

Nice, a matched pair of revolvers. Never saw both a left hand and right hand like that!

Sealer, those flat pins don't have to be too fancy. As a kid I used one that a responsible adult (i.e., our county sheriff, not me!) made by driving a nail through a block of wood, then filing to fit. Worked fine. He shot in his duty weapon, a 38/44 HD bored out to .357.

I think that when they come as a pair they are referred to as “Dueling Revolvers”! I bet he has a nice velvet lined case that they came in.
