I won a prize on GB a few weeks ago, penny auction that ended on a Monday in the middle of the day. IMHO, that is why I won,mbad time to end an auction.
I call the shop, send them my FFL, make payment. Will go out by 4PM and my FFL should have it by no later than Wednesday. Well the don't get the item shipped till Wednesday. I finally get a tracking number on Friday.
My item is now in Iowa!!
(This was shipped from St.Louis MO and was going to Lawrence KS, straight shot on I70, easy. )
Goes across Iowa drops down to KCMO, stays there for 36 hours. Goes to another distribution center in Lawrence and scheduled for delivery the next day, not. Eleven days from when I was told it would be shipped it arrived.

USPS is one of the few things the government is supposed to do. As effed up as they manage it it amazes me that people are all for the government being involved in more and more stuff. WTH do they expect the result to be?

A week and a half ago i ordered a new Lee melting pot. I have been tracking the shipping through the computer.
The pot is not here yet. So far it has been in Arizona where i ordered it from. It went to Colorado then to Nevada then from there it came to somewhere in Minnesota (location unknown) It then went to Owatana - Minn. from there it went to Mahtomedi - Minn. then it showed up back in St Paul - Minn. Then it decided it needed to go to Oseola - Minn. It must have forgot something because it went back to St Paul - Minn. After it got what it forgot it went to Bemieji - Minn. And tonight it finally decided it had enough travel and ended up at our postal center in Akeley - Minn
I still don't have it in my hands. And hopefully it doesn't want to go back to St Paul or somewhere else. Kevin

Be thankful they don't charge for the extra shipping. That's what they told me once.

For the last 17 years, I've hauled U.S. Priority over the road. Anywhere from Pittsburgh Pa. to Rochester N.Y. Been in lots of distribution centers. The OP"s post comes as no surprise. The only real surprise, is that it doesn't happen more often.

On March 2nd. 2018 I hung it up. RETIRED!!

I could gripe about USPS, but today I have a good story to relate. Ordered an item online, tracking said it was delivered Monday. Not at my house it wasn't. Wrote our rural mail carrier a note, today he read the note, remembered leaving a package at another house a couple of miles away, drove there, the package was still in their box with my address, and brought it to our house and put it in my wife's hand. Good work.

mine used to borrow and read my gun magazines.
I complained to the master once and he said 'he is just delaying their delivery a little, he can do that'
i was like look I don't mind him reading them but he shouldn't be doing it while he is driving around.
they got delivered at the right time from then on, and i started leaving them in the box when i was done reading them.
