Tell me about it. cast 1700 Lee 45-230TC out of a 6 banger the last couple days, hard to keep it cool enough to keep from tearing the sprues. I tend to get in too much of a hurry.

I picked up a double ended WC mould for my Master Caster. Just cheatin' it's so easy. Load 'em all nose down, but the sprues are so nice I don't think it'd matter.

if you open the mold while the alloy is still liquid you get good cuts every time.
course you gotta clean the mold a lot,, but we all gotta make sacrifices somewhere.

I use a modified PB - effectively cut off most of the GC shank. Easy to cull bad pours and gives a good uniform exit at the muzzle. Pretty much self centering when seating. This @ 50 while chronying 30/30, off front sandbag. Also playing with a tool that cuts the hardened sprue - good base but hard to control the slight angle when plate shears lifted a tad. Did get almost MOA @ 100 with the 145gr version in BO pushed hard.

I cast from 2-3 molds at a time. It takes just the right amount of time for the sprue to cool and get cut clean with no tearing.
